DESCRIPTION: \nIt is the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence speech (April 4\, 1967 at Riverside Church in New York.) . Dr. King felt compelled to break silence and speak of the united triplets of racism\, militarism and extreme materialism fueling the Vietnam war and ruining US democracy\, a panel will consider the relevance of the speech for today. The panel discussion will be at 7 p.m.\, Wednesday\, Feb. 1\, in the ICC Grossman Conference Center Auditorium and will repeat again at 12 p.m.\, Thursday\, Feb. 9\, in the Mabee Library Special Collections Room. \nPresenters: Jovanni Reyes\, Iraqi Veterans Against War: Sister Addie Lorraine Walker\, OST Director of the Sankofa Institute for African American Pastoral Leadership: Dr. Roger Barnes\, UIW Sociology; Dr. Trey Guinn\, UIW Communication Arts; Dr. Doshie P.
