SUMMARY:2nd Annual San Antonio Sustainability Summit
DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open for the second annual Sustainability Summit. This free admission event will focus on the City Council-adopted SA Tomorrow Sustainability Plan by outlining the goals\, actionable strategies and targets in key areas such as green building and infrastructure\, food systems and alternative transportation. \nThe Summit will also feature an awards ceremony honoring community programs and building structures that promote sustainability through engagement with the people who use it and the environment that surrounds it. \nFive interactive sessions will take place during the Sustainability Summit:\nRapid-fire Presentations by industry leaders for listening\, learning and inspiring action.\nDigital Tool Box Room with live demonstrations of mobile apps to make sustainable practices easier with the touch of a button.\nEngagement Room focused on providing the community with the tools and information needed to take steps for living more sustainably.\nInformational Tables with area partners\, including San Antonio Water System\, CPS Energy\, San Antonio River Authority\, Office of Emergency Management\, VIA\, B-Cycle\, International Dark-Sky Association\, EcoCentro and Earn-A-Bike.\nSustainability Awards to honor those individuals\, organizations and projects that embody leadership in contributing to the sustainability of our community. \nThe Sustainability Summit is presented in part by CPS Energy\, San Antonio Water System\, San Antonio River Authority and Office Depot. \nFor more information on the Sustainability Summit and to register\, visit sanantonio.gov/sustainabilitysummit or call 210-207-1449.
