DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nThe Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is cosponsoring an environmental summit with State Senator Kirk Watson\, District 14\, on Dec. 8\, 2014\, from 8:00 am. – 1:30 p.m.. \nThe event\, designed for people who live and work along the Austin/San Antonio IH-35 corridor\, gives residents\, local and state leaders\, businesses\, students and all interested parties an opportunity to discuss long-term solutions to environmental challenges unique to this rapidly growing part of our state. \nThe Summit will include presentations on environmental topics that affect Central Texas\, such as the status of the drought and air quality. Attendees will also have an opportunity to visit exhibits and talk to experts from various state and local agencies. \nThe summit is free and open to the public; however\, registration is required. \n\n\n\n
